Laurel and Mom came to visit me this weekend at school. It was technically Parent's Weekend/Homcoming, but since freshmen year my family has not participated in any of these events despite consistently coming up that same weekend every year. This year was no different - except that this year, Dad didn't come. It was a girls weekend. And we had a good time!
They arrived at 8:00 Friday night after a 5 hour (usually 3 hour) drive up to Gordon. They ate two wonderful dishes at Not Your Average Joe's and I watched, having eaten Chinese food with a fantastic group of people earlier that night. We were all tired.
The next morning we woke up bright and early (for a college student) and began our LONG day of shopping. We started - of course - at the college bookstore. It waws a successful trip as was the rest of the day. We ate lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. The service was alright, but the atmosphere was entertaining.
The weekend ended and I had gained 3 pairs of shoes and a few cute outfits. Mom and Laurel went home Sunday afternoon after a fantastic lunch at Nick's Famous Roast Beef and left me to study Calc.
We had fun....perhaps too much fun!
